密尔沃基现代中文学校(MMCS)于1994年创立，是一个非营利的教育组织。所有教职人员均为义务服务。办学十二年至今，学校已有18个班级、超过210名从五岁到成人不同年龄的学生，并逐步成为大密尔沃基地区规模最大的中文学习场所。学校每周日下午两点至五点开课一次，借用Marquette大学的Lalumiere Language Hall作为教学场所。







Milwaukee Modern Chinese School (MMCS) is a non-profit educational organization established in 1994. It is a prime resource for comprehensive Chinese language learning in the Greater Milwaukee area. Mandarin Chinese is the primary language of instruction. The school offers 10 class levels including classes designed for non-Chinese speaking children and adults and currently has more than 210 students beginning from age 5. Classes are held every Sunday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Lalumiere Language Hall of Marquette University.

MMCS strives to provide a constructive and encouraging educational environment for Greater Milwaukee area children with a background or interest in Chinese language and culture to master the basic language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in Mandarin Chinese. The school adopts a strong, progressive curriculum and organizes various extracurricular activities and social-cultural events in order to meet our students' and families' needs in preserving the Chinese language and cultural heritage within the American society.
